Tactical evacuation shooter Arena Breakout: Infinite entered Early Access last week. Although the recent beta test was conducted on Steam, the release will only be available through the game’s official website.
However, Arena Breakout has always been planned to launch on Steam, and today during the Gamescom 2024 Opening Night Live, the developer shared new details about the game’s future.

We now know that the full version of ArenaBreak: Infinite is expected to be released by the end of this year, and while many of us would prefer an exact release date, this date is still specific enough to keep us hopeful. The game recently amassed over 1 million wishlists on Steam, making it one of the platform’s most anticipated games, and while Steam Early Access for the game seems a long way from reality, you should at least get the full game by Christmas regardless.
Arena Breakout is Tencent’s take on the survival shooter genre, more precisely Escape from Tarkov. Many consider it an accessible, more friendly version of Escape from Tarkov, and even its developers got into trouble for alleged asset theft.
Although the game has received widespread praise during its recent beta testing, many have expressed concerns about some of the game’s monetization aspects, which provide certain advantages to paying players.
As a free-to-play game, Arena Breakout includes some items that can be purchased for real money, which the developer says is just for “convenience,” but not everyone sees it that way. Still, this is usually one of those aspects that develops over time, so we’ll have to wait for the Steam debut (and version 1.0 release) to find out.
