Since you can no longer access all your abilities via a wheel like you used to, The Veil Guardian lets you decide which attacks are available to you on a particular mission and assign them. The presentation featured a warrior version of the protagonist Rook, equipped with a “This is Sparta”-style kick, a grappling spear to pull enemies towards you, and a shield-like aura to protect them from damage. You definitely seem to be aiming for a tough, scrappy build, and choosing the skills that best suit the approach you choose will be key to defining your playstyle.
Also included in the loadout is an ultimate ability called Warden’s Fire, which rains down an area of effect attack on enemies. It sounds like this is exclusive to Grey Warden Rooks, one of the origins you can select for your hero in the character editor at the start of the game.
