When we take the car, we usually use Apple Maps, Google Maps or Waze. These are the three main applications that millions of people use in their daily lives to get to work or make longer trips, such as going on vacation. With these applications, we have alerts of accidents on the roads and fixed radars.
In the case of Waze, users can also add mobile radars and security cameras. These opinions are completely legal.; Another thing would be the WhatsApp groups that the police are chasing. On my last vacation, I drove about 800 km in one go and relied on two apps: Waze and the app I want to introduce to you today.
The perfect application to know all the radars with the iPhone
The application in question is called Fixed and Mobile Radars. Of course, the name clearly expresses its intention. It is a free app from a english developer
The app has a fairly simple and basic interface. Of course, this is not a navigation app as such.; It does have a route option, but the directions are a bit more basic. My advice is to use it in the background or analyze the route to account for speed cameras.
First configure what you want to see on the map
Before you start looking at the different driving or navigation modes, you need to familiarize yourself a little with the filters. This way you can choose which radars to see or other types of warningslike traffic light cameras. As soon as you enter the app, click on the red icon that you will find in the top bar. Here you can control what you want to see:
- Fixed radars
- Mobile radars (usual sites)
- traffic light cameras
- Community radars
- Section radars
The most differentiating part of this application is that it has a history of where mobile radars are usually located. This does not mean that when you succeed, it will be the case, or even you can find a mobile radar in another location
Different ways to view and detect radars
As I mentioned at the beginning, this app allows you to follow a route, although the ideal is to use other routes. driving modes to warn you about radars. From my personal experience, the most interesting ones are:
- Map: Ideal for freely and personally viewing the radars in your neighborhood, the road you usually take, etc. You will be surprised by everything there is in your city.
- Background: The best way to combine this app with another navigation app. The app itself will locate and warn you of speed cameras as you pass them.
To activate one of these modes, simply click on the blue house icon that you find in the top bar. For the rest, the application has other functions, such as a table of fines and loss of points, the addition of other radars or the evaluation of the current ones.
Fixed and mobile radars
Discover all the fixed, mobile and traffic light radars.
The application is completely free to use. You will only find ads, and if you want to eliminate them You have a premium version at 3.99 dollars this eliminates them. So far I’ve used the free mode and the ads aren’t invasive at all.
