According to the developer, players can return to areas they have already visited to explore all the content in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
If you like to explore, are a collector and want to get a game to 100 percent, you are in for a real adventure with Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
MachineGames confirmed at Gamescom that, in contrast to Wolfenstein, the game has a high level of replayability. Anyone who wants to discover all the secrets and complete the action adventure can revisit areas.
Design Director Jens Andersson said: “Because it’s so open, we think about replayability a little differently than, for example, in the Wolfenstein titles. In this game, it’s possible to go back and revisit previous areas to really explore all the content.”
To fully complete Indy’s journey, you must unlock all notes and photos, which means you have completed the game 100% and seen everything, the developer said.
A sort of chapter selection allows you to revisit the locations. Previously unlocked equipment and skills are retained. Andersson described it as a kind of narrative break, but the majority of it is optional.
“The story is really important, and for people who just want to explore that, the game will be shorter. But for people who want to experience everything, there are a lot of things to explore and it’s a really big game,” said Andersson.
With a floppy hat, whip and pistol, Dr. Jones will embark on the adventure from December 9th. Until then, you can read the preview of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and pre-order the game in these editions.
