Massive Entertainment and Ubisoft’s Star Wars Outlaws is finally out later this week, but the reviews for this Red Dead Redemption-like game are already out, leaving only one question: how is it? Well, that depends on who you ask, because while most reviews are generally positive, its ratings are pretty much across the board.
Jim over at iGamesNews gave the game a high score for us, awarding it 4/5 stars in his review, which you can check out here. While Jim made it clear that Star Wars Outlaws isn’t going to win many Game of the Year awards for a number of reasons, it still manages to capture a very special Star Wars vibe that makes you feel young again – and the game looks great, too.

For the most part, Star Wars: Outlaws will either resonate with you or not, depending on what you’re looking for. Want to play around in the world of Red Dead Redemption, play as a Han Solo-esque character that doesn’t push the world of game development to new heights, but does allow you to have a good time? Sounds like this game is for you! But if you’re a little tired of the typical Ubisoft open world formula, you might want to give this game a pass.
