Game News It’s a video game myth and it could well become reality: Half-Life 3 would actually be in the pipeline and would already be revolutionary
No, you’re not dreaming… Maybe according to some data miners we’ll finally see Half-Life 3!

So maybe?
For once, a new rumor is circulating on the Internet that points to the possible preparation of one of the greatest video game mirages in history: Half-Life 3. So yeah, I don’t know how many times rumors would announce the third installment of one of the most notable video game licenses, but this time it seems that some evidence of something concrete is finally emerging.
It’s been a few weeks since data miners have been gnashing their teeth over Valve data. Recently, these digital shadow inquisitors discovered some important information in project updates using Source 2. As a reminder, this is the engine used in Half-Life: Alyx and Counter-Strike 2.
They say a non-VR title is in development that would use a HEV suit that is well known to Half-Life fans, with changes being made regularly.
Some influencers have even started theorizing about this “future” game, like Gabe Follower • EN, who predicts it an open world where we could use vehicles, including gravity changes, whose story could largely take place on Xen.
To give you a headache
Remember, this is all just speculation and nothing has been confirmed by anyone, least of all Valve. But we can understand that everyone is getting carried away. After all, Half-Life 2 is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, and in those two long decades, fans of the franchise only had Half-Life Alyx to immerse themselves in. Moreover, it was a VR title, even less accessible than a classic game.
As a reminder, Half-Life 2 ends with Gordon Freeman once again at a standstill, possessed by the G-Man, waiting to be “freed” again.
While waiting for more information, Half-Life: Alyx is available in VR on PC.
