For its new rotation of free games of the week, the Epic Games Store is delighting you with no less than four titles, including a collection that is simply atomic.
As a reminder, these new free games will be available on the Epic Games Store from 5:00 p.m. until September 5 at 4:59 p.m. The platform therefore says goodbye to The Callisto Protocol and Gigantic: Rampage Edition and makes way for a truly explosive cocktail and no less than four free games, something rarity that deserves to be highlighted. Let’s see all this in detail.
The Epic Games Store is dropping an atom bomb for these free games of the week
Let’s start, of course, with the most radioactive free game offer of the week on the Epic Games Store: Fallout Classic CollectionAfter Prime Gaming celebrated the explosive success of the Fallout series on Prime Video, it is now the turn of the Epic platform to join the atomic celebrations and offer to (re)discover the first games that gave birth to a post-apocalyptic and now mythical franchise.
Without spending a single cent, the Epic Games Store offers three games in one: Fallout 1, 2 and Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel, all three released on PC in the 90s. The first two are in the form of a C-RPG. In the first, we take turns controlling a Vault dweller who visits a surface devastated by nuclear bombs, in a society whose culture is stuck in the 1940s. In the second, the game puts us in the shoes of a descendant of this Abri dweller, sent on an exploration trip to save his village. Two absolute cult games, despite their great age.
Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel, as the name suggests, takes the form of a tactical RPG in the XCOM style, so unlike the other two titles, the focus is more on action than story. In any case, the Epic Games Store is offering a great free deal this week with this collection of great video game classics.
Another free game that will feature sports
The second free game offering from the Epic Games Store is more sporty and less apocalyptic (although…). It actually is Wild Card Footballdeveloped by Sabre Interactive, released in 2023 for PC and consoles. The title takes the form of a slightly crazy American football arcade game with a wildcard mechanic that affects the game in a completely chaotic way.
All this will definitely keep us busy while we wait for the free games that will take their place on the Epic platform starting September 5 at 5 p.m. If these are not yet known, their identity will be revealed once the four games mentioned above are available.
