Final Fantasy creator shares what he thinks is the most complete installment

After the last set of details of the remake of the ninth installment, this time we bring more news that will interest fans of Final Fantasy. They focus on statements about the first installment.

Hironobu Sakaguchicreator of Final Fantasyconsiders that the first installment of the series is the most “complete” experience in the franchise. He says this is due to “the sense of accomplishment and fulfilment he felt when launching it,” especially since it was a project fraught with uncertainty.

Although Square Enix continues to innovate with the series, Sakaguchi doesn’t believe it has surpassed the original. He also mentions Final Fantasy VI as another title notable for being the last to use pixel art in all its visual expression, approaching the final form they were looking for in the franchise.

Considering that Square Enix plans to focus on cross-platform releases in the future, it’s likely that we’ll see more of the franchise coming to Nintendo Switch 2. However, we’ll have to stay tuned for more details.
