The development studio of Visions of Mana is closing, according to a report.
Ouka Studios, the developer behind Visions of Mana, is closing down, according to a report.
sea Bloomberg Parent company NetEase is planning to close the studio, with only a handful of jobs remaining. These employees will oversee the release of the last games before the studio closes its doors forever.
In fact, NetEase has been cutting jobs since at least this spring, as reporter Takashi Mochizuki reports on social media.
NetEase responded to the announcement, but said it had nothing to announce regarding the closure, but that it “always makes necessary adjustments to take market conditions into account.”
“In supporting studios outside of China, we pursue a strategy that aims to provide a better gaming experience for local and global players,” it says.
The news is particularly bitter because the studio, which was only founded in 2020, launched the game Visions of Mana with publisher Square Enix this week. In the test on XboxDynasty, it received a rating of 8/8.
