As far as games go, September seems to be just as fruitful as August. The month was marked by Black Myth: Wukong And Star Wars Outlaws followed by another hyped release in Astro Bot. And for those who want to look even further into the future, there may be a surprise. It seems that Team Asobi, the developer behind Astro Botis considering a sequel even before the first game is released worldwide.

On X/Twitter the user @Genki_JPN discovered the game’s platinum trophy, which reads: “All trophies won. Well done, see you on Astro’s next adventure.”

It is important to note that a trophy description is not an official announcement or confirmation from the team regarding a sequel. This description could easily refer to DLC, a full-fledged expansion pack, or even a crossover with another game like Fortnite. (Let’s be honest. Everyone does a crossover with Fortnite nowadays.)

On the subject Astro BotThe team recently discussed the potential for a PC version, but put the PlayStation VR2 hype to rest. A PC version will remain in the conversation as long as there is fan interest, so the studio has asked anyone who wants a version to voice their enthusiasm online.

No matter what you think of the prospect of a Astro Bot sequel (even if you’re soulless enough not to want as many installments as possible), we’ll likely see more of the lovable character in some form after the game’s release in September. It’s just a question of how much and how soon.

Stay tuned for more PlayStation news, including the three free titles (Harry Potter: Quidditch Master, MLB The Show 24And Little Nightmares II) will be released next month for PS Plus.
