While we wait for Starfield’s Shattered Space DLC, the original game was recently updated with a new free feature that Star Wars fans are very pleased about.
This free new feature mirrors a recent official addition that was eagerly awaited by the Starfield community: the arrival of a land vehicle that has been longed for since the game’s release last year. In short, a double dose of fun, from a Star Wars fan, for Star Wars fans.
A crossover between Starfield and Star Wars is available for free
At Gamescom 2024, Starfield made a double announcement that sparked a strong resurgence of interest in Bethesda’s space RPG. On the one hand, an established release date for the Shattered Space DLC. On the other, the long-awaited use of a land vehicle codenamed REV-8. Barely a week after its launch, modders were using the thing to crack their own vehicles.
One of the new Starfield mods that has attracted the most attention in this regard is an extremely faithful reproduction of Luke Skywalker’s iconic X-34 landspeeder from the Star Wars film A New Hope by Radical Clown. However, note that this completely changes the base vehicle of the game. Given the popularity of this vehicle among fans, such a creation, also made at record speed, immediately received an explosive response.
To take control of this landspeeder in Starfield, you should download the mod from the dedicated page on Nexus Mods. Then, of course, you will have to buy the REV-8 in the game, whose appearance will therefore be replaced by Luke’s car. Despite an already very faithful reproduction in such a short time, the modder still intends to refine his creation, in particular to make it more manageable or add new functionalities. Other similar mods have also caused a stir, such as a very faithful cover of the famous NASA Lunar Rover. Some are still toying with the idea of being able to integrate the iconic Mako from Mass Effect into Starfield at some point.
