Starfield’s Shattered Space DLC promises to be really huge if we are to believe this new leak that leaves no room for doubt. We will get the answer very quickly as the DLC is coming very soon.
Starfield has been out since 2023 and was clearly divided when it was released. Some thought it was great, like we did in our columns, others thought it was good but not exceptional, and some of the fans are downright disappointed. Still, the game was a hit and new content is coming soon. This is not a new free update, but a very large DLC. Shattered SpaceThe latter is still very mysterious and will be released on 30 Septembera new leak has just given us a taste of what to expect, and it seems to be quite extensive.
SPOILER: Warning, the following may reveal important information about the DLC, you have been warned.
Starfield’s next big DLC looks promising
It was Steam that told us the story. Or rather its database visible via SteamDB, recently updated with the achievements linked to the new content of this major DLC. In Shattered Space, Starfield will explore a darker part of its universe. We will have to enter at least one brand new planet and investigate a new threat that we promise will be “nightmarish”. The few images we have been able to see of this DLC come from a gameplay video released at Gamescom 2024 and a short teaser just added to a trailer reserved for REV-8. This is the new car that has just been added to Starfield and will obviously be included again in the DLC. We are promised something completely different, a change of scenery and surprises. In any case, the atmosphere seems refreshing and, as announced, really different from the original game. All the better.
A leak of achievements heralds a fairly large open world from here
It’s exciting, but the information is still far too scant to get a clear idea of what to expect. However, according to recent leaks from SteamDB, which concentrates a large part of the Steam database, the Starfield DLC will be really huge.
We will therefore obviously have a campaign made up of several main missions, all of which unlock an achievement, which is not surprising. On the other hand, one of the trophies consists of discovering a certain number of places that we believe are connected to the open world. Here we are asked to explore no less than 50 places in a place called Va’ruun’kai (in English). In addition, this new corner of space seems to be inhabited, because there too a trophy asks us to help the local population. This only suggests one thing: the playing field should be considerable. All the better! Especially since with the new Rev-8 we can now progress quickly.
The list of achievements also tells us that we will have access to new equipment. This is something we obviously expected. The studio told us that this first major DLC for Starfield would bring its share of weapons and suits. We have confirmation here with Vortex Grenades, which we can obviously craft ourselves. Below we give you an overview of what to expect. Currently, the list of achievements is available entirely in English on SteamDB.
As a reminder, Starfield is available on PC and Xbox Series. The Shattered Space DLC will be released on the same platforms on September 30th.
