Takaya Imamura is best known for being the artwork designer for Star Fox and F-Zero, designing characters for both franchises. He no longer works at Nintendo, having retired from the company in 2021. However, he still holds the company in high esteem and respect, including the people who still worked there.
In fact, in a recent Gamescom interview with GamesRadar, he had some very nice words to say about Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto. He said he was most proud to have “worked under Shigeru Miyamoto-san for so long” and that “generally speaking, he’s a really kind, hardworking person. But when it comes to game design, he doesn’t compromise. So my impression was that this is what it takes to be number one in anything in the world”.
