Star Wars Outlaws is met with criticism from players after good reviews.

Last weekend, most players were able to get their hands on a blaster and roam through Star Wars Outlaws with Kay Vess. While the critics have been very positive about it, many players have not been particularly impressed. The user score on Metacritic has already slipped into the negative range.

Players are harsh on outlaws

The current average user score auf Metacrtic is 4.9Overall, 50 percent of the 940 user ratings are negative.

For comparison: In the press reviews, PC and consoles have average ratings between 75 and 77. We have an overview of the press reviews for you.

In the negative reviews three points particularly frequently criticized:

1. The AI

According to the players, the opponents have significant lapses. Javgar11 complains: “NPCs don’t react or even move, even when you shoot at them.”

Also bb47bb47 has its problems with AI: “No exaggeration. You could set off an explosion from 15 feet away without anyone noticing, and then someone on the floor above sees you through a wall – and it’s game over.”

2. Glitches, performance and technology

The main complainers here are PS5 players who were able to play the game a few days earlier in Early Access. The first major patch forced them to start from the beginning.

»The game is not finished«complains VVizzard, “It was rushed, the animations are clunky, the facial expressions are… unwatchable and it’s riddled with bugs and glitches.”

3. Too much stealth, no outlaw feeling

The player rosewattt complains that Key Vess calls himself an outlaw, but in his opinion never actually breaks any laws.

Pizzastation has a similar problem and writes: “I played the game because I thought I could be an outlaw in the Star Wars universe, but all I got were forced stealth missions.”

There is also another side

At this point, it should not be forgotten that despite the poor user scores, 43 percent of players also gave Star Wars Outlaws a positive rating.

We can share this positive feeling with our Rating of 84 You can find our test in the box below.

Star Wars Outlaws seems to divide players. On Metacritic, it is noticeable that most users give it either the highest rating (10) or the lowest (0). Only a few ratings fall in between. The good news: Ubisoft can at least improve the technical problems, as long as a patch does not force the game to be restarted again.
