Koei Tecmo and Gust have announced the launch of Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land. This is the new installment of the popular RPG franchise Atelier. The new Atelier, starring Yumia, will be available from March 21, 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC via Steam. Additionally, along with the announcement of the release date of Atelier YumiaGust and Koei Tecmo have given details about the game.
What is the story of the game?
In Atelier Yumiaplayers will immerse themselves in a story that revolves around memory and forbidden alchemy.
The story of this new game in the franchise Atelier follows Yumia Liessfeldt, a young alchemist who lost her mother in an accident. At the start of the game, Yumia sets out on a journey to uncover the truth about her past and the fate of the Aladissian Empire, a civilization that flourished through alchemy but was destroyed by a mysterious cataclysm. As Yumia explores the ruins of this ancient empire, she will be confronted with the secrets of her own family and the true intentions of her mother, who hid her identity as an alchemist.
How is Ateliier Yumia?
In Atelier Yumiaplayers will explore an open world with diverse biomes and collect essential materials for alchemy. Synthesis, a central element of the series and in Atelier Yumia Players will be able to craft a wide range of items. Additionally, for the first time in the franchise, players will be able to build, furnish and decorate their own base. The game’s combat will be real-time and players will be able to change skills based on the enemies. Additionally, synthesized items can be transformed into swords or spears, which can be used to attack.
Finally, Koei Tecmo released a 10-minute video detailing gameplay and the diverse cast of characters that will accompany Yumia on her journey. Among them are Viktor von Duerer, a knight with a strong sense of justice, and his sister Isla, an enthusiastic and fashion-loving young woman. Also joining them are Nina Friede, a mysterious mercenary with exceptional skills, and Lenja, a shy demi-human with great potential. Each character will bring their own unique personality and skills to the team, enriching the narrative and gameplay experience.
