Charge faster, charge cooler
Wireless charging is a real boon for iPhone owners: instead of fussing with cables, you can simply place your phone on the stand and walk away. But that doesn’t mean all wireless chargers offer the same level of convenience or functionality.
In terms of convenience, the most obvious “value-add” feature to look for is a magnetic connection, like that offered by Apple’s MagSafe standard. A strong, precise connection means you don’t have to carefully place your phone in the ideal slot on the charger, or worry about the phone slipping off the mount later.
When it comes to features, the discerning iPhone user should look for fast charging speeds and excellent heat management, as all wireless chargers generate heat. This is a challenge for designers: overheating can slow down charging or even stop it altogether. So temperature management is critical to performance.
In all these respects, the ESR Qi2 MagSafe wireless charger range for iPhone and Apple Watch is worth your consideration. Made by a leading MagSafe accessories brand with over 410,000 five-star reviews on Amazon, these are reliable and quality products. CryoBoost™ Cooling technology keeps heat (and noise) to a minimum to ensure ultra-fast charging.
What’s so special about CryoBoost?
Not all wireless chargers are created equal, and neither are the cooling systems they use. Many companies use fans to cool the wireless charger itself, relying on heat transfer from the hot phone to the cooler charger. But this is a mistake. If there is a temperature difference between the phone and the charger, as is the case with traditional fan setups, condensation can form and damage both devices.
CryoBoost deploys its sophisticated heat dissipation components, including patented parabolic ducts and specialized fans designed to fit the shape and structure of the charger, in a way that is both safer and more efficient. By directing a smooth flow of air to the back of your phone, it avoids the problem of condensation while keeping temperatures low and charging speeds high. ESR tests indicate that an iPhone charging with a CryoBoost accessory stays 5.5°C cooler than an iPhone using a competing charger.
CryoBoost: the new generation
ESR has been continuously refining CryoBoost since the technology launched in 2022. Its latest evolution features a modified duct design: the new open layout cools even more efficiently and keeps noise below 25 decibels, which is quieter than a nearby whisper.
The company’s new second-generation CryoBoost products, certified to the Qi2 standard and compatible with all Apple smartphones from the iPhone 12 to this year’s iPhone 16, will debut in September at the IFA 2024 tech event.
For added versatility, consider the 3-in-1 MagSafe Charger with Qi2 and CryoBoostThis sleek device is designed to charge an iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods at the same time, all at top speeds: It can fully charge an iPhone 15 Pro Max in just 2 hours, at least 30 minutes faster than what’s possible with competing brands. It also offers Apple-certified 5W fast charging for the Apple Watch; an Apple Watch Ultra can be fully charged in 1 hour and 40 minutes, four times faster than 2.5W chargers offered by other brands. The accessory costs $69.99 on Amazon.
Drivers, however, may prefer the MagSafe Car Charger with Qi2 and CryoBoost. Also equipped with the second-generation CryoBoost for unmatched temperature management, this device can charge an iPhone 15 Pro Max in just 2 hours and 17 minutes. even using it for navigation. And the 1,600g magnetic connection ensures your phone stays secure even on the bumpiest roads. It costs $34.99 on Amazon.
Finally, ESR launches the Qi2 MagSafe Battery Pack (5000mAh) with KickstandFeaturing a multi-award-winning built-in kickstand design and 15W fast charging, this powerful device is still the slimmest Qi2 charger on the market, perfect for saving space and charging on the go. And like all ESR products, the device balances speed with superb temperature control thanks to NTC sensors and an AI algorithm. It costs $39.99 on Amazon.
If you’re in Berlin for IFA 2024, you can check out these new products and the rest of the ESR range at stand H3.2-303 from September 5 to 10.
