Apple’s big iPhone day is almost here! The iPhone Glowtime event kicks off at 10 a.m. PT on Monday with a video keynote that will showcase the biggest new features of the fall: the iPhone 16 and Apple Watch Series 10. And there could be a few surprises along the way, too, including new AirPods, an iPad mini, and maybe even “One More Thing.” Here’s everything you need to know about the big show.
Glowtime Event: What’s Happening
iPhone 16 and 16 Plus: Apple’s entry-level iPhones are expected to get a host of new features, including the iPhone 15 Pro’s Action button, a new Capture button, an A18 processor, Apple Intelligence, and a new vertical camera alignment. And of course, new colors too, which are significantly more vibrant than last year’s.
iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max: The higher-end phones feature larger displays (6.32-inch and 6.9-inch), a faster chip (A18 Pro), and better cameras. And the iPhone 15 Pro Max’s improved zoom lens is expected to be available on the smaller model as well.
Apple Watch Series 10: The Glowtime event will be held on September 10, exactly 10 years after the Apple Watch was unveiled at the iPhone 6 event. So it’s no secret that Apple is preparing one of the biggest updates in its history. Rumors say that the first-ever redesign of the device could be on the way, with larger displays, a thinner body, and flatter edges.
Apple Watch SE 3: After four years of using the Watch in virtually the same way, the 3rd-gen SE appears to be a major overhaul, with a plastic body and a lower price tag.
Apple Watch Ultra 3: Not much new is expected, other than a new chip and maybe a second color option.
AirPods: All of Apple’s AirPods have been due for an update for a long time, and several are candidates for the event. A new budget model could replace the old 2nd-gen model with a lower price; a 4th-gen update could bring noise cancellation and a new design; and an AirPods Max update could also be on the way.
iPad mini: Not much new is expected from the next mini update, other than a new chip and more RAM to make it compatible with Apple Intelligence.
