Every game studio dreams of it. Of that one game where everything really fits together. Where everyone agrees that it is a masterpiece. That makes it onto all the historical charts. But the dream is often followed by a rude awakening: How can you top something where everything already fits? The Stronghold developers can certainly sing the loudest song about that. Or everyone who is still waiting for Warcraft 4. And that is precisely why I would never have expected Ubisoft to dare to make a new Heroes of Might and Magic – especially because the legendary third part of the series will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2024. For 25 years, no game has been able to match its elegance when it comes to combining global turn-based strategy with role-playing elements and tactical battles. Neither the direct successors nor the numerous copies. So it was an even bigger and nicer surprise that a new Heroes game was actually able to celebrate its world premiere at our big FYNG gamescom show: Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era. Heiko spoke to the developers in advance and summarized all the information for you in a video.
