Steam users celebrate Shogun Showdown, a new tactical game set in ancient Japan
Genre: Roguelike-Tactics | Steam-Release: 5. September 2024 | Preis: 15 Euro
Roguelikes are as popular as eversome developers dare to go in an unusual direction. Shogun Showdown sends us to feudal Japan to beat up enemies in droves.
The innovative thing about Shogun Showdown is the game system that revolves around the positioning of our character. Unlike in Slay the Spire and others, we are not tied to one position, but move through the ranks of the enemies to defeat them with close and long-range attacks.
Consent on Steam: 96 percent of over 2,400 reviewers say it’s positive.
On the subject: One of the most unusual representatives of the genre is called Balatro and mixes poker elements into the formula, which led to a temporary Steam ban.

This game is like Among Us – with a twist
Genre: Deduction game | Steam-Release: 30. August 2024 | Preis: 8 Euro
This is a strange one: Dale & Dawson relies on the social game principle of Among Us. Here, depending on the role, we have to either increase profits, complete tasks or remain unnoticed in order not to be thrown out of the game.
One person takes on the role of the manager, whose job it is to fire the slackers. Said slackers have to look busy in order not to be caught. The third group consists of specialists who are simply supposed to do their work without being mistaken for slackers and gone
to become.

In the space role-playing game Starcom you explore a dangerous universe
Genre: Action RPG | Steam-Release: 2. September 2024 | Preis: 25 Euro
And another community favorite, this time in space: Starcom Unknown Space is the successor to Starcom Nexus, but according to the developers it does not require any knowledge of its predecessor.
We put together a ship, explore an open-world space, scan new planets and, most importantly, research strange space anomalies. We also encounter hostile aliens – so battles also play an important role.
To some extent, the title seems like a top-down alternative to the grandiose Everspace 2.
Consent on Steam: 91 percent of over 900 reviewers say it’s positive.
Fantasy Map Simulator
Genre: God simulation | Steam-Release: 4. September 2024 (Early Access) | Preis: 8 Euro
Fantasy Map Simulator gives us the opportunity to observe the rise and fall of entire nations. And we create the worlds in which the stories take place. Then we can control the destinies ourselves.
So we draw an island that is inhabited by several peoples. Now we can, for example, command a conflict, and armies move through the land and move the borders. Diplomacy is also possible. The developers describe their game as unique simulation for history enthusiasts and creatives
.
Another exciting god simulation is called Fata Deum, which we have taken a close look at for you.
Consent on Steam: 93 percent of around 500 reviewers say it’s positive.
Castlevania Dominus Collection
Genre: Metroidvania | Steam-Release: 27. August 2024 | Preis: 25 Euro
Feels weird to call Castlevania a Metroidvania. But strictly speaking, that’s true, since the action role-playing game series, together with Metroid, defined an entire genre.
The Castlevania Dominus Collection contains four games from the classic series: Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin, Order of Ecclesia and the arcade title Haunted Castle. And the package is a huge hit with fans.
Consent on Steam: 96 percent of around 600 reviewers say it’s positive.
