Toree Saturn, the latest game in the speed-based platformer series Toree, is coming to Switch before the end of the year – as confirmed by an announcement on X from its developer, Siactro.
Readers can, of course, check out the latest trailer above, but they can also look below for a description of the game from Steam, as well as its initial announcement trailer.
Toree Saturn is the latest game in the “Toree Franchise.”
It’s a speed-based 3D platformer featuring a round bird with sunglasses and a backpack!Run through linear levels from point A to B with a double jumping bird while dodging enemies, collecting stars (if you want) and getting all kinds of little speed boosts along the way.
Features:
- Easy to understand gameplay: just run around and jump and you’re ready to top each level
- Different levels with different retro and colorful themes
- Cool tunes inspired by late 90s as well as early Y2K styles.
- A bird with sunglasses and a backpack!
(New) Features (for people who played the earlier stuff):
- Toree has two new moves! The player can now use ground dash in the air to descend faster and gain a speed boost when hitting the ground, as well as targeting special stars to gain height and movement boosts.
- New look! Toree Saturns art style tries to be a combination of late 90’s 3D with some of the crazier looks of the early Y2K era. It’s like a natural evolution of the art style of the previous games… I hope.
- Controlling Toree just got a whole lot easier!
No more Run-Buttons, which means players don’t have to hold down the right trigger for years.
Most actions (except the ground dash trigger) only use the Jump button.
Ground Dash is performed by your controller’s now freed right trigger
