When players found out they only had a few days to earn the Platinum Trophy for Concord, many began working hard to get it, but only a few made it.
Last week, Firewalk Studios made a somewhat surprising announcement that Concord would be shutting down just two weeks after launch. It announced the closure with just three days left, meaning trophy hunters would have to act fast if they wanted to get their hands on those coveted platinum trophies. Given the tight timeline, some players took very drastic measures, like committing suicide to see which team could do it first. And it looks like these strategies are only working for a small but very good number of people: 69, to be exact.

Spotted by GamesRadar, PlayStation trophy tracking site PSNProfiles shows that only 69 people have managed to earn the coveted trophy that proves they’ve completed all the tasks the game has to offer. It’s important to note that this isn’t an exact science, and the site doesn’t track trophies automatically, but they can be tracked manually, meaning the number of trophies may actually be a bit more than this, but it’s a pretty interesting number for now, and will hopefully bring some levity to a generally pretty miserable situation.
There are numerous reasons why Concord was shut down directly because it didn’t attract enough players, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have fans. A group of fans even started a petition to re-release the game (admittedly a half-hearted one), but despite collecting nearly 2,000 signatures, experts aren’t sure the game will be able to make a comeback.
Fran reviewed the game on iGamesNews, giving it 3/5 stars, writing “Underneath all the rubble and confusing business decisions (like not offering it as a PS Plus Extra), there’s still a decent game, but why would you put up with all that frustration when the game has no distinct personality and there are better free alternatives available right now?”
