- On September 10th at 9 p.m. (local time), Donald Trump and Kamala Harris will have a TV duel.
- In Germany, the TV duel can be watched on the night of Tuesday, September 10th, to Wednesday, September 11th, from 2:50 a.m. on TV and via live stream on ARD.
- As was the case last time, the televised duel is subject to certain rules.
There are only a few months left until the 2024 US elections in November. But presidential candidates Trump and Harris will face off again on September 10 at 9 p.m. local time. In the first and possibly last TV duel, both candidates will fight for the votes of undecided voters.
Former President Donald Trump previously managed to win the TV duel against incumbent US President Joe Biden. The latter was forced to announce his withdrawal due to his weak performance. Incumbent US Vice President Kamala Harris will now run for the Democrats in the 2024 presidential election instead.
The TV debate, moderated by journalists David Muis and Linsey Davis, will take place at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and will be broadcast by the US broadcaster ABC at 9 p.m. local time. The broadcaster is subject to a country block in this country, but you may be able to circumvent this by using a VPN service.
Trump vs. Harris: How to watch the TV duel in Germany
In Germany, however, the TV duel will be broadcast on linear television and in the ARD live stream. However, anyone who wants to watch the whole thing in this country will have to wait until the early hours of the morning due to the time difference. Wednesday, September 11, from 2:50 am be patient.

Trump vs. Harris: TV duel subject to rules
The 90-minute TV debate is again subject to the same rules as the last TV duel between Trump and Biden. We have summarized these for you below:
- There will be no studio audience.
- No cheat sheets prepared in advance are permitted. Taking notes during the debate is permitted.
- The closing statement should last two minutes.
- Each candidate has two minutes to answer the questions. The other candidate can then present his or her counterargument within a further two minutes. An additional minute is allowed for clarifications and questions.
- Contact with the campaign teams is prohibited during advertising breaks.
