The Boys is heading towards its own series end with season 5. But it will still be a while before we get to see it: the grand finale will land on Amazon Prime Video in 2026, while preparations for its production are now underway.
A new Supe for The Boys and Vought Rising
For example, they are now looking for the actor for a new Supe that even fans of the comics don’t know: the character called Flyboy
No actor has been found for Flyboy yetafter all, the casting call just went live – how NexusPoint reported. But we at least get a rough idea of the Supe through the official role description:
A white man in his 20s to 30s who was once a charismatic fighter pilot, but is now a junkie with a dark past. Although haunted by the trauma of his past, he maintains his confidence in the presence of cameras.
The description is of course reminiscent of Webweaver (Dan Mousseau) – a parody of Spider-Man who played a small role in the fourth season. Perhaps Flyboy is then an alternate version of DC’s Hal Jordanwho, after a career as a fighter pilot, saves the world as Green Lantern.

The Boys: In the new trailer for season 4, even chickens and sheep have superpowers… Wait, what?
Since Flyboy also appears in Vought Rising, he is of course also considered to be part of the old guard of Vought Supes: The new prequel series takes place about 70 years before the events of The Boys and characters like Soldier Boy and Stormfront are known to age little or not at all.
It is currently unknown when Vought Rising will be released on Prime Video. Season 2 of Gen V will continue in 2025, while the fifth and final season of The Boys will follow in 2026. Because even with the end of The Boys, Amazon has big plans for the brutal anti-superhero universe, which is no surprise given the success of the series.
