Zone Zero Zenless 1.2 marks the second major update to HoYoverse’s latest gacha game, and features many new events and quality of life updates, with more promised for future updates.
The story of this second update focuses on the Sons of Calydon faction and the barren zone of the Outer Ring – with the Zenless Zone Zero 1.2 banners featuring two new S-rank characters.

Zenless Zone Zero 1.2 Release Date and Time
Zenless Zone Zero 1.2 released on Wednesday September 25. It should follow the usual maintenance schedule and release at 4am BST, but due to time zone differences, version 1.2 will actually be released in the US on Tuesday, September 24 at 11pm ET.
For other time zones, the Zenless Zone Zero 1.2 Release Date and Time East:

- Central United States:Tuesday, September 24, 10 p.m. (CT)
- West Coast of the United States:Tuesday, September 24, 8:00 p.m. (Pacific Time)

Zenless Zone Zero 1.2 Banners
There are two new playable characters making their debut in Banners 1.2: Caesar And BurnAlso joining the Bangboo banner is the new S-rank Bangboo Red Moccus.
Phase 1 of the 1.2 Banner program begins with Caesar, a physical defense character from the Sons of Calydon faction on his Ember-Crowned Lord banner.
All boosted A-Rank Characters On Caesar’s banner are:
- Anton (Electric, Attack)
- Piper (Physics, Anomaly)
This 1.2 Phase 1 Banner release starts on Wednesday, September 25th and is expected to end on Wednesday, October 16th.
In Phase 2 of Version 1.2, we then have Burnice, a new S-rank Fire Anomaly character in the Sons of Calydon faction on their Born to Burn banner.
All boosted A-Rank Characters On the Burnice banner are:
- Lucy (Fire, Support)
- Nicole (Ether, Support)
These version 1.2 Phase 2 banners should be available from Wednesday, October 16th to Tuesday, November 5th.
Along with these new characters, we’re getting two new S-Rank W-Engines in the 1.2 Dissonant Sonata banner. Caesar’s signature S-Rank Defense Fury Defenseswill be played alongside her character Banner in Phase 1 of Version 1.2. Burnice’s signature, the S-rank anomaly Shaker Flamemakerwill then run alongside his banner in Phase 2.
