Palworld’s PS5 port was a hit game that launched earlier this year and got everyone excited or angry about the image of Pokémon holding guns. For some time, people have been speculating whether the game will be ported to the PS5. The latest hint is that the game will really be ported to the PS5? This year’s Tokyo Game Show listing.
This is certainly not the first time there have been rumors that Palworld could be coming to Sony’s consoles, with many believing that a teaser trailer posted on Twitter by Palworld community manager Bucky back in June gave people some hope, and Pocketpair itself has not ruled out the possibility of bringing the game to more platforms.

The latest potential hint about Palworld coming to PlayStation is a list from the Japan Computer Entertainment Suppliers Association (CESA) of games scheduled to debut at the 2024 Tokyo Game Show, which opens on September 26th.
As spotted by Gematsu, on page 30 of the 34-page document, there is a listing for Palworld with a dot in a box indicating that the PlayStation 5 is one of the platforms it’s available on, alongside its existing Xbox Series X/S and Steam.

Now, it’s important not to get your hopes up too much, as Gematusu notes that this annual list is “by no means definitive,” so it’s not a sure thing that PocketPair is actually working on a PS5 port. This could just be a mistake, or it could hint that TGS could announce something like this, we’ll just have to wait and see.
Hopefully, if this comes to pass, we’ll finally get a Lamball rap album too, and PocketPair’s announcement that it will be teaming up with Sony Music Entertainment for merchandising has given me, and everyone else on the planet, little hope.
One thing we do know is that the studio has said it isn’t looking to use the success of this game to make a huge leap in scale to AAA-style development any time soon, but instead wants to see what its standalone structure and scale can take it.
