For any lover of the thriving indie scene, it has become increasingly common in recent years to see a certain name when playing particularly great games – Fellow Traveller. The company, which adopted its current name in 2018, has done an excellent job of bringing incredible smaller games to gamers, whether by hosting the annual LudoNarraCon Event on Steam or release of games like the 2022 sci-fi masterpiece Citizen SleeperTo celebrate the company’s wonderfully diverse catalog, there’s a Steam sale with drastic price cuts, and that means you can snap up a wealth of fantastic indie games at a bargain price.
To keep up to date: The two games that are particularly highlighted in the sale, which runs until September 25th, are both from this year. The first, Times & Galaxyis a satirical sci-fi journalism sim that’s a lot more fun than all those descriptions suggest. Drawing on some of the sharpest and wittiest game designers in recent memory, you work your way through a series of assignments for the solar system’s newspaper. This involves investigating the locations of newsworthy events, interviewing people and witnesses, and crafting the right combination of headlines, key quotes, and other elements. It doesn’t hurt that the game has a killer either Theme song.
Second, you need to pick up 1000xRESIST while there is a 20 percent discount. I could rant forever about the breathtaking art design and gripping character drama of this narrative-heavy walking simulator (and I have). To make it short, I will just say this: 1000xRESIST is an undeniable contender for Game of the Year that you don’t want to miss. Trust me.
Here are some of the best deals to check out first at the Fellow Traveller Publishing Sale:
- Times & Galaxy – $15.99 (was $19.99)
- 1000xRESIST- $15.99 (was $19.99)
- Citizen Sleeper – $7.99 (was $19.99)
- Paradise Killer – $5.99 (was $19.99)
- In other waters – $3.74 (was $14.99)
- The pale afterlife – $7.99 (was $19.99)

And if you’re someone whose impeccable taste means you already have all of these games in your Steam library, then don’t worry, the sale still has something for you. In the spirit of the publisher’s LudoNarraCon event, a number of demos for upcoming games are available to try out. I’d suggest you focus on musical narrative games After Love EP and customizable turn-based RPG Wandering Stars.
