Samsung Samsung S20 has come with a function that pretends to be a new standard: 120Hz refresh rate. The first to see this technology on Android was using Razer Phone, a pioneer in this technology, which was not able to expand in subsequent years. 2020 is a year of high refresh rates, 90Hz as a new base and even mid-range models like Realme 6 and protagonism, how could it be otherwise, on a high-end mobile phone such as the Google Pixel 4, Xiaomi Mi 10 or Huawei P40 Pro.
From the XDA Developers they were able to create the program Allows you to switch between 120Hz mode and 96Hz new mode. The work is designed to minimize the impact of the high voltage of 120Hz without sacrificing the maximum amount of stimulation along the way.
Samsung Galaxy S20 can go up to 96Hz
Samsung Samsung S20 (and its two brothers) have a screen configuration that allows you to convert either Full HD + to 120Hz or Quad HD + to 60Hz. We did not find any kind of average 90Hz average. With XDA Labs you can access a compatible application change the panel settings to 96Hz. It is a midpoint point between 60 and 120Hz, which is aimed at reducing power consumption, which is quite high in the 120Hz range.
The application does not require root or any modifications to the system, it is simply installed, licensed and functional
Without wanting to reduce hertz beyond what the builder allows, it's the first time it is found that the application can do this without special permissions. There are already similar efforts to do this, as in the case of Xiaomi Mi 9T. Using the MOD, it was possible to increase the hertz panel to 75, although the input method was very complex and required both root and redesign.
In the case of S20, just download the app and then change screen hertz from the quick access bar. Remember that even if it's for an app more translation into the program, so it is at the user's risk to use or not perform the work. On Reddit a good number of users note that the app works without problems, of course.
