This is the reason why the POW Block was changed in China – iGamesNews

As many of you may know, software in China always goes through an arduous verification process before being released to the public, and many elements end up being very different from the originals.

We recently informed you of a change in the POW Block in the version of New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe for Nintendo Switch in China, where the name of the block seemed to include three zeros, of which two are not shown in full.

This seemed to be a possible mistake or perhaps a coincidence, but Tencent had a reason for this change. It turns out that it is due to a Chinese regulation that prohibits the inclusion of items with letters of the English alphabet or Roman characters, a rule that has also affected the name of three Pokémon in China in the past month.

What do you think about this rule that probably still has a lot to change in video games in China?
