iOS 18.1 beta 1

Apple has released beta 5 of iOS 18.1, which will be The first update in which we will see Apple Intelligence. What are the main new features of this Beta 5? We tell you about them here.

This afternoon, new betas for the next Apple updates were released. iOS 18.1 and iPadOs Beta 5, watchOS 11.1 Beta 2 and macOS Sequoia 15.1 Beta 5. These will be the first updates in which Apple Intelligence will debut, but not in its entirety and not worldwide. We will only see the first feature films in the United States and in American English, it is only in 2025 that we will see them in Europe. In the successive betas that we have tested these weeks, we have already announced the main new features, and in This Beta 5 still changes some things which we list below:

  • New buttons to be added to Control Center, including WiFi and VPN
  • New option in Settings > Control Center to reset it to factory settings in case you lose control while customizing it
  • RCS Messaging Support Expanded to New Carriers and Countries

    • BASE (Belgium)
    • TracFone (USA)
    • C Spire (United States)
  • New option to switch to front camera in iPhone 16 camera control
  • New option to drag files between Mac and iPhone using iPhone Mirroring
  • New writing tools button in Notes app
  • New action in shortcuts to open control center
  • Apple Intelligence icon appears dark in Settings (in dark mode)

To update to this new beta, you need to be in the developer program. It is expected to be available soon for public beta users as well, and The estimated release date to the public is in October.so there will probably be another beta before it’s available to everyone.
