Players are determined not to let this happen, with some looking to PlayStation for solutions to counteract a problem that occurred in the PC version of God of War Ragnarök.
Less than a week after the re-release, it’s not really a party God of War RagnarokThe PlayStation exclusive game was very well received on the console. But this time things are different. Apparently, the manufacturer has not learned the lesson from its previous ports by requiring players to have a PlayStation Network (PSN) account on the PC. However, the latter decided to express their dissatisfaction and take matters into their own hands.
Fixed issue for God of War Ragnarok
The Nordic epic of Kratos and Atreus continues God of War Ragnarok. And by releasing on PC, it also opens up to an even wider audience. Available since September 19, players will also have the pleasure of discovering new features thanks to this port, which will soon be available on PS5 and PS4. However, there is a black mark on the board: the obligation to link your Steam or Epic Games account to a Join PSN.
As expected after the outcry over the PC version of Helldivers 2 and Ghost of Tsushima, Go Ragnarok annoys the audience just as much by forcing this connection. But waiting for PlayStation to decide to listen to the rumble is out of the question, so some have come up with a solution of their own that you can benefit from!
Thanks to Internet user iArtorias, you can actually play God of War Ragnarok without having a PSN account. Simply download his free mod called “NoPSSDK” on NexusMods. Then place the files [version.dll] and [PsPcSdk.dll] and copy it to the game folder. If the PSN login page still appears, just answer “No”. And there you have it! That’s it. Once again, the community has proven that they can enforce their own rules. Now to see if PlayStation will take this into account.
