Ubisoft has confirmed that it will return to the popular PC marketplace Steam with new releases in the future.
Ubisoft was one of the biggest advocates of the Epic Games Store and has released its PC versions there exclusively in recent years, far away from the in-house Ubisoft Store. On the other hand, the company avoided the popular Steam platform and only released its own PC releases there – if at all – with a noticeable delay.
After the disappointing launch of Star Wars Outlaws, however, there seems to be a change of mindset, as Steam is still the top dog among PC gaming platforms. The company has therefore announced that it will be offering its own titles directly on Steam again from the day of release. You will also be able to play Assassin’s Creed Shadows on PC directly via Steam, which was only postponed to 2025 today.
