Although the situation is complicated due to the coronavirus pandemic, many activities can still be done online. The activity has put the brake, but the students continue training electronically. In addition to having control over their teachers and tutors, some educational institutions have chosen to keep this teaching at a distance so that they are not so far behind in the current academic year. From the Center for Technology and Digital Art, U-tad, they have launched a series of free courses on video game design, art and programming, among other subjects they teach. But they still want to go further and contribute their grain of sand in this alarm situation, celebrating charity workshops with a symbolic price that will go to the fight against COVID-19.
U-tad has announced Easter School #StayHome, the first online edition of their classic courses that they celebrate every year during Easter. This is a series of workshops 3 days duration (6-8 April) with a schedule from 11am to 2pm, especially aimed at ESO, Baccalaureate and Training Cycles students from all over Spain. This would be the first contact for many with areas such as Software Engineering, video game development, animation or digital design. The main novelty this year is that will be taught online as circumstances oblige and especially that they have a price of 30 euros that will be donated entirely to Donations Channel of the Community of Madrid to alleviate the situation caused by the coronavirus. In other words, each student who participates in these courses will be actively collaborating to stop the health crisis in the country.
Those interested may register now on the official website of U-tad, one of the most specialized universities in Spain in areas such as Design, Art, Video Game Programming, Animation or Digital Design. Due to their time at this University Center, some students have achieved several international recognitions thanks to projects born in these classrooms, as well as an Award for the Best Virtual Reality Game to Intruders: Seek and Hide at the Gaming Awards of the SXSW 2019 held in Austin (Texas).
