Shadows of Assassin’s Creed is the next installment in the iconic assassin saga developed by Ubisoft. After years of insisting, fans would finally receive a Creed game set in feudal Japan and would initially release this November. Unfortunately, Yesterday the news of its postponement until next year was announced.
This news does not bode well for the French company. Because before announcing this last minute delay, they canceled the press reviews and left the Tokyo Game Show. This fact adds to the company’s latest failures in its sales expectations during the last year of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown and Star Wars: Outlaws. Added to this is the constant drop in Ubisoft’s stock market and an internal investigation to analyze the poor performance of its latest products.
Assasin’s Creed Shadows prepares for 2025
Despite this bad news, In the press release published yesterday by Ubisoft, a clear change in strategy was noted. Since the titles of the French company will reach Day 1 on Steam as well as previous versions. Additionally, they announced changes to your “Season Pass” modelabandoning it for another not yet announced.
This change in strategy will be revealed in the next installment of Assassin’s Creed. In the aforementioned launch delay announcement, they also confirm that all users who have reserved the game will receive the first expansion scheduled for delivery for free. A “good compensation” for those who wanted to get their hands on it and ended up seeing how the playing time fades over time.
Fortunately, all that remains is to count the days until its final launch. Are you going to play this new opus? Do you think Ubisoft will be able to overcome this bad streak? Shadows of Assassin’s Creed It will be available on PS5, Xbox Series and PC on February 14, 2025. As always, if you want to know more about new features like this, don’t forget to stop by, here in the Xbox Space.
