AirPods Pro just received their second update in just a week
It’s been less than a week since the last update released for the AirPods Pro 2, and we already have a new version available. It seems pretty clear that the previous update contained a major bug that Apple rushed to fix. AirPods Pro firmware version 7A302 only lasted a few days, and now we have it for download version 7A305.

This update is only available for second generation AirPods Proboth in its version with charging case with USB-C and Lightning. AirPods Pro version 7A294 introduced significant improvements and new features to AirPods with iOS 18, but the following three versions, including the new update 7A305, are intended to resolve errors.

How to update AirPods
To update your AirPods to the latest version, make sure they are inside the charging case and connect the case to a charger. THE AirPods must be connected to an iOS device which, in turn, is connected to the Internet.
Although there is no exact time for the update, If you leave your AirPods near your iPhone or iPad for a while, they will automatically update. Having both the iOS device and AirPods with 100% battery life makes the updating process easier. It’s not as simple as updating the iPhone, but you can try to force it. However, if you wait a few days, your AirPods will surely update.
Firmware updates are delivered periodically while your AirPods are charging and within Bluetooth range of your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

Having the latest version of AirPods firmware guarantees us fewer problems. You can find the version your AirPods have installed by connecting them to iPhone via Bluetooth and going to Settings. In the “AirPods” menu that appears in the upper area, below will appear the firmware version that they installed.
