Developer Fossil Games and publisher Hound Picked Games have announced that spooky slasher survival game Camp Sunshine will be sneaking onto the Switch on October 9.
This is for fans of 1980s slasher movies. Jez is left behind at summer camp, but his camp friends quickly turn out to be a little more, uhh, dead than he expected. A menacing killer is on the loose (dressed in a mascot costume, no less), and it’s up to Jesus to take out his head alive.
We’ll cut to the chase, this looks creepy. Camp Sunshine was launched on Steam in 2016, where he picked up several hundred ‘Very positive‘ reviews. It seems to be short and sweet, but on £5.69 / $6.99 / $6.33it might be worth checking to cool off for a bit.
Below you can find an overview of the game’s key features and a bunch of screenshots:
– A deadly survival game where the killer can attack at any time.
– Explore the haunted areas of a fully detailed summer camp.
– Experience a spine-tingling, captivating story that keeps you on edge.
– Unique lighting mechanics enhance tension and atmosphere.
– Discover the dark secrets of Isaac Illerman through the hidden pages of the diary.
– Face the Serial Slasher — survive two hits or it’s game over.
– Full of jump scares, creepy moments and homages to classic horror franchises.
– Test your wits with tricky puzzles that increase the horror.
This is the second title in Fossil Games’ ‘Sunshine Universe Trilogy’ to arrive on Switch after last year’s Sunshine Manor brought similar spooky vibes. With Halloween right around the corner, we can bet there are a few more eShop jump scares in the works.
