If you have about $3,000 to spare and are looking for a little pick-me-up, be sure to purchase something from Jimmy Choo and Sailor Moon’s latest collaboration. This is the second line of Jimmy Choo x Sailor Moon products, and according to original author Naoko Takeuchi, the original pink boots for the first collection were “so cute they blew us away!”
So of course it’s a combination made in designer fashion manga heaven.
The new line is slightly more expensive than the last, with the most expensive pair of shoes, the Sailor Chibi Moon boots, costing 419,100 yen ($2,936.53). Compare that to the last round, where the most expensive pair cost $1,605. But hey, a girl can dream of saving the day in stylish baby pink knee-high boots.
This time, the non-Sailor Moon-specific heels focus on the outer Sailor Guardians: Sailor Uranus (blue booties modeled after the character’s), Sailor Neptune (green pumps with sparkly crystals), and Sailor Pluto (dark knee). boats, accentuated by a velvet ribbon) and Sailor Saturn (purple lace-up boots). There are also two moccasins, one for Sailor Moon and one for Luna the cat. And then there are two pairs of sneakers with artwork by Takeuchi.
The collection also includes bags dedicated to each Sailor Guardians, including interior and exterior bags. The bags have adjustable straps and cost 308,000 yen each. There are also larger tote bags with manga inserts, available in both color and black and white. And then there are two Luna-themed clutches – the crystal-encrusted one is available for 1,100,000 yen.
Well if you not If you have around $7,000 in spending money, there are a few comparatively cheaper accessories – bracelets, scarves and phone cases that cost between 41,800 and 143,000 yen. This is uhhhhhh still expensive, but definitely more in the appropriate luxury range if you’re the type of person who wants to wear a fancy printed scarf.
The new Sailor Moon x Jimmy Choo collection launches October 9th in select stores and online. Check out the entire collection on the Sailor Moon website.
