Dragon Age 4 is coming soon and we’re really in the home stretch. What is certain is that the game is already shaping up to be a great graphical slap in the face.
After almost ten years of absence Dragon Age finally comes back with me The Veil Guardian. This new work, presented during Sony’s latest State of Play, promises an epic adventure while pushing the visual boundaries, especially on the PS5 Pro. BioWare seems to have worked hard to ensure an immersive experience, both in terms of gameplay and graphics.
Impressive improvements on PS5 Pro for Dragon Age 4
While Dragon Age: The Veil Guardian will be available on Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC, and the game will reach its full potential on PS5 Pro. According to Maciej Kurowski, technical director at BioWare, the game with the Sony console will benefit from significant improvements in resolution and fluidity. In fact, whether in mode loyalty (30 FPS) or in mode Performance (60 FPS), players can enjoy even more advanced graphics.
One of the main advantages of the PS5 Pro is the addition of ray tracingand in particular Ambient occlusion. Unlike the classic PS5 version, where this functionality is reserved for loyalty mode, The PS5 Pro allows you to enable it in Performance Modeand therefore offers more detailed graphics at 60 FPS. This means players can enjoy superior visual quality without sacrificing gameplay fluidity.
PlayStation Super Spectral Resolution for even sharper images
In addition to ray tracing, Dragon Age: The Veil Guardian uses technology PlayStation Super Spectral Resolution (PSSR) on PS5 Pro. This tool helps optimize image quality and ensures better resolution while maintaining high performance. Thedas’ already gorgeous environments will be even more impressive with sharper textures and finer details.
On October 31, 2024, Dragon Age: The Veil Guardian will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. This new work is eagerly awaited by fans of the saga, who expect intense battles and exciting intrigues. BioWare promises a return to basics with familiar elements and the introduction of new characters and new stories.
