Good news, StarCraft fans. Events for “StarCraft Remastered” and “StarCraft II” will soon be available on PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass for Ultimate level subscribers. Players using these services will be able to download both services later this year on November 5th.

These classic Blizzard games seem to be the latest benefits that Activision Blizzard has brought to Xbox after Activision Blizzard acquired Xbox at the end of last year. While multiplayer modes will be free, this means that the single-player elements of StarCraft: Remastered and StarCraft II: Campaign Collection will be available to owners of PC Game Pass or Game Pass Ultimate starting from the specified date. Open to anyone who subscribes.”

The news was announced during the Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2024 broadcast, and was followed by an Xbox Wire blog post written by Activision Blizzard’s Amelia Savery. They write: “Since StarCraft first launched in 1998 and launched StarCraft II in 2010, the series has left an indelible mark on the rise of the real-time strategy (RTS) genre, esports, and live streaming. imprint, and continue to attract a very active and passionate community who are always looking to welcome new members to their ranks, so while we wait for November 5th to arrive, let’s take a look at the StarCraft series Impact on the world…in ways you may not have imagined!”

Savery went on to mention some of the impact the series has had, including sending copies of StarCraft into space! But either way, it’s a nice little perk for Game Pass users who haven’t had a chance to try StarCraft yet. Now you can play the entire series for the cost of one sub, so get started!
