Do you enjoy using the power of your fists on Elden Ring’s bosses? Don’t worry, you can admit it, we are all friends. Especially since the latest patch, Shadow of the Erdtree, enhances the game in part to ensure you can enjoy practicing your hobby.

Hey, at least this update shouldn’t spark too much discussion about nerfs and whether they’re a good thing or not – much like its predecessor – Patch 1.14 – the adventure did so with tweaks to the Promised Prince Maradarn a little.

As detailed in its notes, Patch 1.15 is all about bug fixes and content that might help you avoid experiencing erratic performance on PC or console.

But tell me, what’s the benefit of fisting? Just be here and relax. FromSoft has fixed a few bugs that might be plaguing people like you and want to make sure you’re encountering “Some Golem Fist weapon attacks don’t deal damage when the player is affected by certain special effects” or “Golem Fist weapon” Situation One-handed heavy attack power [is] Lower than expected”.

Yeah, it’s just some tweaks to the performance of a giant fist made of gravel that you can hit people with, what do you think I’m talking about? If you’re expecting more, read the rest of the patch’s changes – which I’ve laid out nicely below – and pull your mind out of the gutter:

  • Fixed a bug where the cutscene that played when entering the Shadowkeep Cathedral area would play again when re-entering the area.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the Forgekeeper: Thorns spell to fail to cast when used in rapid succession.
  • Fixed a bug where the Forged Amulet effect would not apply to thrown attacks with certain weapons.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented ashes from being used in certain areas of the Skardu Tree Avatar Arena.
  • Fixed a bug where Lelana, Knight of the Twin Moons, would sometimes act unexpectedly when interacting with objects in the combat area.
  • Fixed a bug that allowed incorrect combinations of skills and weapons to be used in certain situations.
  • Fixed a bug that caused unexpected rendering and behavior of certain enemies in certain situations.
  • Fixed a bug where some sound effects could not play properly.
  • Several performance improvements and other bug fixes.
  • Further fixes were added to the game’s end credits.

Oh, and here are those possible instability fixes:

  • For the PS5 version of the game, erratic frame rates can be improved by using the “Rebuild Database” option in the device’s safe mode.
  • On some PC builds, ray tracing may be enabled inadvertently and cause erratic performance. Please check the Ray Tracing settings in System > Graphics > Ray Tracing Quality from the title screen or game menu.
  • In the PC version, if there are no cheats, an “Inappropriate Activity Detected” message may appear. To resolve this issue, verify the integrity of the game files before restarting the game.
  • In the PC version, unstable frame rates can be caused by third-party applications that control mouse behavior. Disabling these third-party applications may improve performance.

Okay, now go wash your hands because we don’t know where one of these might have gone.
