SNK vs. Capcom retro fighter SVC Chaos received a new update this week that adds feature improvements and bug fixes.
This includes some handy new additions as well as fixes and fixes that will address “rare crashes” and a few other things. Below are the full patch notes, courtesy of Code Istics on social media:
“We’re happy to announce that the #SVCChaos 1.02 patch, previously released on Steam and GOG, is now available on PS4 and Switch. Full console patch notes below.”
A fan also asked if this update would be included in the upcoming physical release, but according to the source, “that’s a question only the publisher can answer.
Features
- Options > Game > Hitboxes now has a “Practice” setting, where hitboxes will only be enabled in practice mode
- Infinite continues in a single-player arcade mode
- Character selection time increased to 30 seconds
- It will now return to draw mode if idle on the title screen
- Slow motion dialogue before the game
- Added unlockable endings to the gallery
Bug fixes
- Fixed scaling of scan lines in STRETCH mode
- Fixed rare crashes due to viewing challenges and using the Gallery quickly
- Fixed reporting of Draw/Time Out games in online win/loss totals
- Hitbox color corrections
While this crossover is admittedly not well-reviewed here on Nintendo Life, it’s still an interesting piece of fighting game history. This update also follows an update to the recently released Marvel vs. Capcom earlier this week.
