SNK vs. Capcom retro fighter SVC Chaos received a new update this week that adds feature improvements and bug fixes.

This includes some handy new additions as well as fixes and fixes that will address “rare crashes” and a few other things. Below are the full patch notes, courtesy of Code Istics on social media:

“We’re happy to announce that the #SVCChaos 1.02 patch, previously released on Steam and GOG, is now available on PS4 and Switch. Full console patch notes below.”

A fan also asked if this update would be included in the upcoming physical release, but according to the source, “that’s a question only the publisher can answer.

Features

  • Options > Game > Hitboxes now has a “Practice” setting, where hitboxes will only be enabled in practice mode
  • Infinite continues in a single-player arcade mode
  • Character selection time increased to 30 seconds
  • It will now return to draw mode if idle on the title screen
  • Slow motion dialogue before the game
  • Added unlockable endings to the gallery

Bug fixes

  • Fixed scaling of scan lines in STRETCH mode
  • Fixed rare crashes due to viewing challenges and using the Gallery quickly
  • Fixed reporting of Draw/Time Out games in online win/loss totals
  • Hitbox color corrections

While this crossover is admittedly not well-reviewed here on Nintendo Life, it’s still an interesting piece of fighting game history. This update also follows an update to the recently released Marvel vs. Capcom earlier this week.
