this Franchise A new official trailer has been received, and it certainly looks like it will capture just how terrifying it is to make a superhero.
I think we all know by now that making a movie is often a stressful experience, and that’s an understatement. You can only imagine how awful it is to work on a Marvel movie in particular, considering how poorly the people who do all the CG are treated (allegedly), not to mention that everything is green screen these days. But apparently Succession writer-producer Jon Brown decided that after nearly 20 years of Marvel movies, and fewer than DC movies, it was time to make a satire that really made a difference. A blockbuster like this. Enter, the franchise.

You can check out the trailer for the show above, and it looks a little spotty in terms of jokes, but the comedy in the trailers was always a little hard to follow, so maybe the full thing will go a little smoother. The official synopsis explains: “The Franchise follows the crew of an unpopular franchise film as they fight for their place in a wild and unruly cinematic universe. The comedy series reveals the super The secret chaos in the world of heroic filmmaking and raises the question – how exactly is the sausage in the movie made? Because every mess has an origin story.”

This obviously couldn’t have come at a better time considering how much the MCU has declined in recent years, and we’ve yet to see a reset for the DCU. The show also has a strong cast, including Himesh Patel (“Greedy”), Aya Cash (“The Boys”), Jessica Hines (“Shaun of the Dead” ), Billy Magnussen (“Road House”), Lori Adefip (“Ghost”), Darren Goldstein (“Ozark”) and Isaac Powell (“Us Horror Stories”). Richard E. Grant and Daniel Brühl are both guest stars, ironically having both appeared in MCU projects before, Grant in Loki and Brühl in Captain America: Civil War : Civil War” and “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.”
The first episode of “The Franchise” will air this week on October 6 on HBO’s streaming service Max.
