WhatsApp launches color themes in latest update of its iPhone app
WhatsApp has launched a new update to its iPhone app that represents the biggest design change yet. A few months ago, WhatsApp had already deeply updated its design, but the new function available will allow users to use color themes in their chatsgiving the app a whole new twist.
We’ve known for a long time that WhatsApp was working on these color themes, but now they’ve become official. THE version 24.20.71 of the WhatsApp application for iOS allows you to choose between one of 20 different themes. This version has been launched in the App Store with this new function, although not all users have it activated at the moment.
Color themes are coming to WhatsApp
With this new feature, WhatsApp offers users up to 22 different themes and 20 colors to choose frommaking customization much deeper than it was before. Using these themes we will not only change the background of the chat, as before, but also the message bubble color.
WhatsApp will automatically set a wallpaper based on the color of the bubbles messages that we have chosen, even if we can change this background as we want. These themes are individual and personal, so modifying them on our iPhone will not cause them to be modified in the chat of our contacts.
WhatsApp already allows many users to change the theme with different colors
In order to change the WhatsApp theme we must enter the section Application settings in the chats section, from where we can select a default chat theme which will apply to all WhatsApp chats. Another option available is to change the topic of a single chat, which can make it easier to distinguish between personal chats, business chats, and group chats. Each can be a different color. This can be done by entering each chat and tapping on the name of the contact or group chat.
It must be taken into account that this version of WhatsApp arrives in the App Store, as indicated since WABetaInfo. Additionally, even if WhatsApp is updated to the latest version, chances are this feature may not appear yet. It’s because WhatsApp activates it in stages. So, if you don’t have color themes in WhatsApp yet, you will have to wait a few days for this feature to be activated.
This feature is currently available to a limited number of users through the App Store and TestFlight, including those participating in the beta program. WhatsApp is gradually rolling out themes to gather feedback and ensure optimal performance before a wider rollout.
After the big WhatsApp update in September, the messaging application surprised us all with this new function that the application has been developing for several months, We didn’t expect it to come out so soon.. It thus joins other recent WhatsApp functions, such as filters and backgrounds for video calls which have also been available for a few days.
