Good grief, first the alarm clocks, and now this… The rock group Green Day has announced that they are releasing ‘Dookie Demastered’a collection of incredibly unique items that play individual songs from the band’s iconic 1994 album. Dookie.
Items are available for purchase in the US, but only through a limited draw; so basically you can order as many as you want, but you can very easily end up without any. Items include diskette (To delight), doorbell (Longview), and Big Mouth Billie Bass (Basket), but what really caught our attention was the original Game Boy cartridge that plays the entire Welcome to paradise.
Limited to just 25 hand-numbered copies at $39 USD, it certainly seems like a pretty good price for such a strange collector’s item… If you can get your hands on one, that is. It’s also important to note that there is no actual ‘game’ involved in this, as such; it’s literally the song playing on the Game Boy. Pretty cool though, if you ask us.
You can check out the full list of items at official website (and you can listen to it all too – bonus!), and you can try your hand at buying the Game Boy cartridge itself at Brain Store Page. It’s only available to US residents, sorry folks.
So if you’re a fan of Green Day or happen to be one of those people who absolutely must own every Game Boy cartridge in existence, then… well, good luck!
