This year’s fall isn’t just witching season, with Agatha All Along and the musical Wicked making waves online. It also seems to be clown season. Joker: Folie à Deux hit theaters in early October, and a week later another clown movie, Terrifier 3, arrived in theaters.
The new film in the Terrifier series once again follows the bloodthirsty Art the Clown on another rampage of murder and torture, but this time, it’s festive! Early screenings of the horror reportedly made some viewers walk out, even vomit – giving you a good idea of what to expect.
After the success of the previous films in the franchise, the new installment should be a real hit for Halloween.

In the United States, you can book tickets on the AMC Theaters and Fandango websites. In the UK you can get them from Vue, Cineworld and Odeon.

When will Terrifier 3 be released on VOD?
As of now, Cineverse, the film’s distributor, has not announced any release date for Terrifier 3 on digital platforms.
The Terrifier Series Slashers are independent films, so unlike Hollywood blockbusters, their path to home media is quite difficult to predict.
However, we estimate that Terrifier 3 will hit digital platforms fairly soon after its theatrical release. The previous film in the series appears on VOD platforms just 36 days after its theatrical debut. Based on this, Terrifier 3 could be available for rental or purchase as soon as mid-November 2024.
Of course, this is just speculation, and we’ll have to wait for Cineverse to confirm this date.
When could Terrifier 3 be released on streaming services?
The second film about the murderous clown appeared on the ScreamBox streaming service 25 days after its theatrical release. However, it is unlikely that Cineverse will follow this path in the case of Terrifier 3. The film is generating quite a bit of buzz, and its creators will probably want to attract as many spectators as possible to the cinema.
However, we may not have to wait long for Terrifier 3 to debut on streaming. A great opportunity to launch the film on ScreamBox will be Thanksgiving – given the slasher’s “holiday” theme, it could come to the platform around November 28, 2024or closer to Christmas itself.
This date is only our prediction and has not been confirmed by the film’s distributor.
When will Terrifier 3 be released on DVD/Blu-ray?
As with VOD and streaming release dates, we can also rely on our guesses. Certainly, Christmas will be a good opportunity to release physical copies of Terrifier 3 – in which case the film could appear on store shelves. around December 25, 2024.
This is quite likely because Terrifier 2 on DVD and Blu-ray was released on December 27, 2022.
On the other hand, if the film succeeds at the box office – and all signs suggest it does – Cinemaverse could postpone the sale of physical copies. In this scenario, the DVD and Blu-ray editions of Terrifier 3 may not be available until 2025.
