Ukrainian studio GSC Game World announces very good news to many gamers, even in advance, while they wait for the release of the extremely promising STALKER 2.
Originally, November wasn’t just supposed to mark the highly anticipated release of STALKER 2. There have also been talks about a Nintendo Switch version of Legends of the Zone, a collection that collects the first three installments of the popular post-apocalyptic FPS series. Know that it will finally arrive on the hybrid console sooner than expected.
A postponement on the one hand, an early release on the other for STALKER
During the Xbox Partner Preview last March, Microsoft’s gaming division officially announced the release of the first three STALKER games on consoles. Until then exclusively reserved for the PC, these now legendary titles such as Shadow of Chernobyl, Clear Sky and Call of Prypiat have arrived in an updated version on Xbox and PlayStation consoles. All that was missing from GSC Game World was the Nintendo Switch.
The port of STALKER Legends of the Zone on the latter should arrive in November, the same month as the next work. However, the Ukrainian studio released an announcement trailer for the Switch version of the trilogy with good news: the release has finally been brought forward to October 31st. This leaves Switch players with just three short weeks to take the Zone with them wherever they go. Given the certain age of the three games offered in the collection, Nintendo’s hybrid console should be able to run them without batting an eyelid.
Of course, this doesn’t apply to the highly anticipated STALKER 2, which is only targeting PC and Xbox Series. After a series of postponements and the terrible conflict between Ukraine and Russia, in which some developers from GSC Game World took part, this new game from the famous license promises to be downright crazy. However, to be sure, we’ll have to wait for the release on November 20th.
