There’s a movie about some people making Shakespeare’s Hamlet in GTA Online, and it’s actually going to be released in some way, which means if you’re even remotely curious about it like me and live in the UK, you’ll “Later this year we will be able to visit it as planned by the gods of Flim.
If you missed the movie that took the world by storm last week, it’s called Hamlet. This is a documentary. No, no, sit back, you’ll probably still enjoy it, even if it’s a little different than watching The Boss Baby and The Godfather Part III, which I know have been two of your favorite movies for a long time .

Distributor Tull Stories has confirmed that the film will be released in cinemas across the UK and Ireland from 6 December 2024. Yes, it might be a good idea to tell your aunts and uncles when Christmas visits are scheduled early. The in-laws can come over for a whole month and I’m sure everything will be fine.
Prior to this, “Hamlet” will also appear at multiple British film festivals, including the BFI London Film Festival, where the film will premiere in the UK this week.

There’s a trailer above that brings back violent memories of stick-bombing my friend’s chrome Viper as a teenager, if you want to get a taste of what we’re doing. To me, this seems a bit like let’s play around, but to be fair, these can have some depth. You know, one minute you’re doing promotions in a nightclub and you’re being stalked by a bully who bullies a tyrant, and the next minute you’re ugly crying in front of a big poster of the GTA 5 map because you realize that youth is fleeting. And you will never find love.
But enough about my life, here’s the proper synopsis for the movie, written and directed by Pinney Grylls and Sam Crane:
“January 2021. The UK enters its third lockdown and all entertainment venues remain closed. For theater actors Sam Crane and Mark Oosterveen, the future looks bleak As the pandemic continues, single and childless Mark becomes increasingly socially isolated, while Sam panics about how to support his young family as they spend their days in the online digital world of Grand Theft Auto. When they stumbled upon a theater, they suddenly had the idea to stage a full version of Hamlet in the game.
“Sam’s wife, documentary filmmaker Pinney, also enters the game as an avatar filmmaker to document their journey. The film chronicles their absurd, hilarious and touching adventures as they battle violent vandals. Struggle, and discover surprising truths about life, friendship, and lasting power.”
