Many video players are currently using cloud computing to help scientists find a solution to the corona virus.
Team Darkside from Monster Hunter World takes the declaration of war a little more literally and thrashes the virus in the game of Capcom. You can see their fight in the video embedded above.
How does Corona get into the new world?
The virus did not reach the game world via droplet infection, but with the help of a mod. The team members had them specially made for the video by Asterisk Ampersand. Unfortunately, you cannot download them yourself.

Gaming in times of the corona virus
Hunter's strongest enemy to date
The video shows not only a simple fight against Corona, but tells a little story in about five minutes. The virus is so powerful in Monster Hunter World that even the mighty Rajang can only flee from him. And the hunters themselves don't get far with their long swords.
So Team Darkside is called to fight him with flame throwers. And against the weapons of the group consisting of the players Vycery, Hoonter Deus, Michi and Peppo, Corona has no chance and lies on the ground after only a few seconds.
A motivating message: At the end of the video, Team Darkside explains that they were able to defeat the virus in the game as a team. And the same applies to real life: By working together, you can face the greatest challenges.
What can players really do against Corona?
Some rules that help prevent the virus from spreading are already mentioned in the video: Especially to protect older people, you should stay at home. Because even if you don't show any symptoms, you can unwittingly be a carrier and infect other people.
The cloud computing mentioned at the beginning also helps: The best known is the Folding @ Home project, in which the GameStar community even made it among the world's best teams.
In addition, you can support some projects that are committed to the fight against Corona. For example, Humble Bundle is currently offering a game package, the proceeds of which will be donated entirely to charities such as WHO, Doctors Without Borders or Direct Relief.
