WhatsApp launches its news in a new update

A few days ago, we announced that WhatsApp was planning to launch a new feature that would allow you to mention and tag different users within WhatsApp statuses, in the purest style of Instagram Stories. Since then, there have been few expectations for the messaging service’s next steps until today. a few hours ago a new update has been released which include exciting new features such as a new widget for the home screen

or the possibility of use a different zoom (finally!) when using the camera. We tell you everything below.

A new WhatsApp update with exciting features

The novelty therefore lies in the new WhatsApp update and it is about version 24.21.81, now available for installation from the App Store. On this occasion, no article was published on the official blog of the messaging service but rather news that was seen as soon as the update was installed on the devices.

This new version includes a new home screen widget which allows the user to have direct access to the different sections of WhatsApp: recent, favorites, pinned or contacted. By clicking on it you will quickly access the chosen location and favorite cats.

Additionally, WhatsApp has also included in this version the possibility of mentioning other users in States

as well as the possibility of use 0.5x to 3x zoom with the camera, something that until now could not be done and which has been the subject of complaint by many users for several years.

Remember that even if this new version is installed, WhatsApp will gradually include all these new features. In a few days, all users will have all these new features… until then, let’s wait.
