Eric Barone, developer of the very popular Stardew Valley, recently shared some very good news with fans, but also came with a warning.
Stardew Valley’s truly colossal update 1.6 has been available on PC since March and is finally coming to consoles and iOS/Android phones very soon. This encouraging prospect is accompanied by another piece of very good news from Eric Barone (ConcernedApe). However, the popular developer of the hit game also provides a warning so that everyone can make the most of all these new features.
Stardew Valley sets the stage for the rest of the program
The huge Stardew Valley 1.6 update adds a phenomenal amount of new features, including a new farm type, an extensive list of gameplay adjustments, and more than welcome quality of life additions. Console and mobile gamers who are fans of the gaming phenomenon are looking forward to November 4th with impatience. At the height of their joy, this will not be the only major innovation for the independent game that has been making headlines for eight years of good and loyal service.
Stardew Valley will indeed welcome update 1.6.9 (currently only available in beta for PC) on the same day, and this time without distinction of platform. It actually rolls out on PC as well as PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and iOS/Android phones. This additional patch will also contain a generous list of adjustments, quality of life improvements and fixes. You can find out the details on the official website from Stardew Valley or via the relevant source cited below.
However, this good news comes with a warning from its creator, Eric Barone. While it will be possible to continue an existing Stardew Valley save, it still encourages players to start from scratch. “ You’d probably like some of the new content better in the context of a whole new game » he stated in response to an X.com user after the announcement of the simultaneous deployment of updates 1.6 and 1.6.9. You may have to decide whether to resume your farm, but may miss out on some new features, or start a new save to fully enjoy the experience.
