As players flock to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, some of the more experienced players are figuring out the ins and outs of the game’s full range of movement and gameplay settings. Through this day of experimentation, they discovered that a single setting can have a significant impact on your goals. Yes, your goals too!

User Lightsfire posted on Twitter explaining that the Tactical Aim Assist setting will cause players’ aim speed (abbreviated as ADS) to be significantly delayed if left at the default settings. However, by switching it to “On” instead of “Enabled”, your ADS sprint will actually be faster.

Additionally, by going into the advanced movement settings, you can change Tactical Dash so that it starts when you tap to sprint, rather than holding it. This also goes a long way toward improving your gunfighting abilities.

It’s a minor change, sure, but one with real impact, especially for those who can move quickly and take advantage of the game’s new all-around movement. Like all FPS games with strong competitive communities, Call of Duty has a die-hard player base who are very interested in gaining any and all advantages in multiplayer matches. Or rather, they are keen to reduce barriers to the expression of their skills.

It’s been a fun first day for Black Ops 6, with players discovering all sorts of interesting quirks in the game. Speaking of the game’s settings, upgrading doesn’t seem particularly worthwhile right now. Meanwhile, other players have discovered that a cute little feature in Call of Duty: Cold War is back, as one map contains a springboard that you can actually bounce off of. OK
